Title: The Waterfall
Title of Folktale: The Snake Prince and Pumpkin Seed
Synopsis: One day a widow wedded her youngest daughter Pumpkin Seed to a snake after the snake had moved a large rock from their garden. The snake took Pumpkin Seed to a nearby stream and told her to wait for him to take a bath. He mentioned that she will see bubbles coming down the stream. There would be colored ones and green ones, and that she should not touch the green ones. The snake went behind the large rocks and bubbles started floating down the stream. Pumpkin Seed touched the colorful ones and they turned to gold and silver jewelry. When she touched the green ones they turned to snakes. Pumpkin Seed was terrified that her mother had wedded her to a snake. All of a sudden she noticed a figure approaching her. What used to be the snake turned out to be a handsome man —a blessing in disguise.

Comments: For this story I decided to illustrate the scene with the bubbles floating down the stream because I felt that part was a magical turning point in the story.
